Hotels’ Dirty Secrets
December 31, 2007 by Martin
Here is a copy of an email I sent to our consultants, that I thought you might be interested in seeing… especially if you do any traveling. Take a look and see what you think…
One of the benefits of being a TopLine consultant is that most of your work can be done with clients right in your home town. I’ve spent my share of time on the road living in hotels and eating in restaurants, and believe me, the novelty wears off real quick.
Some of you will be joining us in Los Angeles in January for Joel Bauer’s event (which, I can say from past experience in working with him, will be absolutely killer). The Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills, California will be hosting the event. I’ve stayed there a number of times in the past while working with Joel, and it is a very nice property.
However, there are some things that you should be aware of, no matter what hotel you stay in. Here is an interesting piece that you know about and circulate to everyone you know who stays or who will stay in a hotel.

A few things you may want to consider bringing alone with you may include a small spray bottle of disinfectant for the bathroom, a large ziplock bag for ice, some bottled drinking water and some flip flops for your feet.
I’m not a germophobe, but I’d rather err on the safe side. Personally, I don’t trust the cleaning staff of the hotels or the cleanliness of the floors, the glasses, or anything else I may touch, including the bedspreads.
Hope to see you in L.A.!
