My Friends’ New Book… A Good Read

April 3, 2008

The other day, the well-known book publisher, John Wiley & Sons, just released “Gravitational Marketing”, an excellent book on business marketing. Written by three of my very good friends, Joel Bauer, Travis Miller and Jimmy Vee, the book gives some great advice on what any business can do to increase the effectiveness of their marketing and to enhance their revenues and profits.

I was honored and frankly, flattered, to be referenced along with a number of other well-known and very successfull marketers as an Expert Resource when they wrote on page 44:

Confirmed Appointments Program Filled in 7 Minutes

March 31, 2008

For far too many people (and it doesn’t seem to matter what business they’re in) sales is a “Rejection Business”.  You’ve heard it before… “Selling is a game of numbers.” You want to make more sales… make more calls. Make more presentations. Increase your failure rate. Do all of those things and the number of closes will also increase.

That’s wrong thinking. And at TopLine Business Solutions we don’t believe in those strategies at all… not for our consultants getting clients for themselves, and not for their clients attracting new customers for their businesses. That kind of thinking, while it does work, is insanity. And anyone who preaches or practices that kind of thinking or activity in business is not doing themselves or those they influence any favors.

Another Letter of Success

March 14, 2008

Here’s an email I received the other day from one of our consultants. In his message Dan talks about a new client he just got and the help he received from Steve, another consultant who had experience with a similar business.

That’s what the TopLine program is all about – helping each other – sharing our knowledge and experiences to help each other get better results with their clients and make their consulting practices more successful.

Here’s what Dan wrote:

The Audio Business Card – A Marketing Tool That REALLY Works!

March 12, 2008

I just received an email from one of our new consultants that I thought you might be interested in. Here’s what Bruce had to say:
==========

I went to my first Chamber of Commerce Business to Business meeting today. There were only about 30 people there so it was a little disappointing on that level. I passed out my Audio Business Card, so I am interested to see if there will be any response from that.

The Cat’s Out Of The Bag

March 11, 2008

Things happen. Sometimes they’re planned and sometimes they’re not.

Late yesterday afternoon one of those unexpected and unplanned things happened to us here at TopLine.

As you may have read in an email you received from us, we have just entered into a strategic alliance relationship with a very successful and very well respected marketing company to (among other things) furnish our consultants with 35 to 40 confirmed appointments per month – not leads, but confirmed appointments.

This one feature alone will make it significantly easier for our consultants to generate huge personal incomes, as they can now focus on what they really want to do – help their clients make money – and not have to worry about marketing and getting clients.

Get Out Of Overwhelm

March 4, 2008

Here’s an article I wrote for our consultants. I thought you might like to see it as well.
==============

The other day I was talking to my very good friend, Melanie Benson Strick, from www.SuccessConnections.com  Melanie is one of the premier experts on organization and getting your business to work for you, rather than you working for your business.

Melanie Benson Strick, The Entrepreneur's Success CoachIf you were at the Joel Bauer event in Los Angeles earlier this year, you may have had a chance to meet Melanie, as she had dinner with our group one of the nights.

As I’ve mentioned so many times, I don’t have a lot of respect for many of the self-proclaimed “gurus”, Internet marketers, or others who promote themselves as experts. The Internet has made it incredibly easy for anyone to position themselves in ways that are not at all representative of the true experience or value they possess, and to promote any kind of product or service as being the best of its kind and the ONE thing you need to solve your problems.
